Post für Otto

Um „Post für Otto“ bat im Jahr 2009 Roland Halbritter und an Zuschriften war kein Mangel. Jede Menge Postkarten, Briefe und Päckchen zum Thema Otto von Bismarck landeten in seinem Briefkasten. Zwei Mal waren sie bereits in der Oberen Saline ausgestellt, die der Reichskanzler einst bei seinen zahlreichen Kuraufenthalten in Bad Kissingen bewohnte. Im Rahmen von „Kunst geht fremd“ wird „Post für Otto“ nun auf Schloss Aschach gezeigt – und damit an einem weiteren ehemaligen Aufenthaltsort des „Eisernen Kanzlers“.

Als Mineralwasser, Schokolade oder Playmobil-Männchen – hätte Fürst Otto von Bismarck bei seinen Besuchen auf Schloss Aschach gewusst, wie er einmal dorthin zurückkehren würde, er hätte die einstige Sommerresidenz des unterfränkischen Regierungspräsidenten Friedrich Graf von Luxburg vielleicht nie aufgesucht. In einem längst nicht mehr monarchisch, sondern demokratisch geprägten Land muss er es sich aber gefallen lassen, dass man dort posthum einen eher lockeren Umgang mit ihm pflegt.

Und so hängt sie nun reihenweise im zweiten Stock des Großen Schlosses: Künstlerisch und sehr individuell gestaltete „Post für Otto“, oder genauer: Etwa 420 der insgesamt rund 1.000 Einsendungen aus aller Welt. Die interessantesten wird Roland Halbritter dem Publikum selbst vorstellen, und zwar an den kommenden drei Sonntagen. Am 13., 20. und 27. August jeweils von 15.00 bis 15.30 Uhr ist Roland Halbritter im Graf-Luxburg-Museum zu Gast. Zum normalen Eintrittspreis für die Museen Schloss Aschach wird er den Besuchern das Ergebnis des Mail-Art-Projekts persönlich präsentieren.

... New Mail Art show with the Mail Art Collection "Post für Otto" ...

After the show "Post für Otto" 2011 in the Museum Obere Saline where the collection have been exhibited in total, and after the portrait show "Otto 200" in 2015 with 200 portraits of Otto von Bismarck in the Orangery of the Museum in occasion of his 200th birthday, now a third exhibition will take place in the Castle at Aschach. see the homepage: https://www.museen-schloss-aschach.de

Here some first but not final images during the installation which will be opened the 25th of July 2017. The exhibition will be opened now till the 10th of september.
opening hours. Thues - Saturday only within guided tours at 14.15 / 15.15 and 16.00 and Sunday
from 11 - 17.00 without tours on your own - maybe the best time to see the collection is on sunday. The castle is in restoration at the moment that's why they have only these openings. Let me know when you want to come along ... see you there ...

A new exhibition called: OTTO 200
will take place this year for the upcoming
200th birthday of Otto von Bismarck
for this purpose 200 Portraits from the mail art collection will be shown in the Orangery of the Museum Obere Saline
in Bad Kissingen from the
25th of March till the 3rd of May 2015 
commemorating the 200th birthday of the politician on 1st of April - you are all invited,
the exhibition will be for free
